On this week's episode of The Flash Podcast,  AndyTatiana, Breeze, and Lacy get together to revisit Barry Allen's introduction in the Arrowverse that set up The Flash. Before becoming the fastest man alive, Barry had his two-episode arc on Arrow, that set up his iconic journey as one of the Arrowverse's greatest superheroes. Join the gang as they do episode commentaries on Arrow season 2, episodes 8 and 9, "The Scientist" and "Three Ghosts" respectively! That and more on this week's episode of The Flash Podcast!

"The Scientist" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, V) (HDTV) BARRY ALLEN COMES TO STARLING CITY - A seemingly impossible robbery at Queen Consolidated's Applied Sciences Division brings Central City police scientist Barry Allen (guest star Grant Gustin) to town. Citing a similar case back home, Barry offers to help Oliver (Stephen Amell) and team with the investigation. Oliver senses there is more to Barry than meets the eye, but he's distracted by the similarities between this current case and something that happened on the island. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) takes a liking to Barry, which doesn't go unnoticed by Oliver. Sin (guest star Bex Taylor-Klaus) asks Roy (Colton Haynes) for help when a friend of hers goes missing. Roy is surprised when Thea (Willa Holland) not only encourages him to help, but joins the search. Unfortunately, Sin's friend is connected to Brother Blood (guest star Kevin Alejandro), and their search ultimately gets one of them seriously injured. Michael Schultz directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kresiberg and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Geoff Johns (#208).

"Three Ghosts" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV) OLIVER IS VISITED BY GHOSTS FROM THE PAST - After a fight with Cyrus Gold AKA the Acolyte (guest star Graham Shiels), Oliver (Stephen Amell) is drugged and left for dead. Determined to cure him, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) makes a risky decision. The cure causes Oliver to hallucinate, and what he sees forces him to confront his past. Meanwhile, Barry (guest star Grant Gustin) continues to help Felicity, and their connection grows stronger. The Arrow asks Lance (Paul Blackthorne) to look into Gold, but when the stakeout on Gold goes bad, someone is killed. Roy (Colton Haynes) is captured and tortured by Brother Blood (guest star Kevin Alejandro). John Behring directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kresiberg and teleplay by Geoff Johns & Ben Sokolowski (#209).

WARNING: This The Flash interview with Danielle Panabaker is a full-on MAJOR SPOILER article as it breaks down tonight's episode of The Flash Season 8, Episode 13, "Death Falls." Read at your own risk!

The Flash season 8 has been going through one of its darkest storylines this year as the show re-imagined the DC baddie Deathstorm while also jumping into the world of horror and supernatural. As the latest graphic novel got more intense over the last few weeks, it became evident that a tragic death was on its way and this week's episode came as a game-changer for Team Flash as they lost one of their allies.

While it stopped Deathstorm once and for all, Killer Frost made the ultimate sacrifice in order to defeat the big bad. Even though this is in a comic book and superhero universe, The Flash's massive death is sticking as "Death Falls" was not a fakeout nor will they retcon the heartbreaking ending.

The Flash Podcast's Andy Behbakht recently sat down with Danielle Panabaker, who has portrayed Caitlin Snow and Frost for over eight years, to breakdown "Death Falls." Throughout the interview, Panabaker discusses how this story came about, the experience of playing two characters at the same time, a reflection on Frost's legacy, as well as tease how this affect's Caitlin's arc going forward in Season 8. This interview is available in text and audio version, both on podcast platforms and on DC TV Podcasts' YouTube channel.

The Flash was one of an endless list of TV shows that got affected by the global pandemic. Despite these difficult circumstances, production was still able to happen as The Flash aired its seventh year and continuing the adventures of Barry Allen and his team. While having fewer episodes than usual, The Flash not only finished the Mirror Mistress arc, but the Arrowverse drama also adapted the New Forces storyline and finally tackled Godspeed once and for all.

As we wait a few months for the eighth season, the entire The Flash Podcast crew was honored to be joined by Eric Wallace, The Flash showrunner, to break down season 7. Throughout the interview, Wallace chats about the challenges of making a TV show throughout a pandemic, the major 150th episode featuring the extended Flash Family, the writing process in breaking stories, and so much more! Click here to also see the video version!

The Flash season 8 premieres on Tuesday, November 16, at 8/7c on The CW!

In this week's episode of The Flash Podcast, AndyTatianaBreeze, and Lacy got together to review the two issues of Crisis on Infinite Earths: Paragons Rising, the tie-in comic to the 5-part Arrowverse crossover. Written by Marv Wolfman (who wrote the original Crisis comic!) and Arrowverse creator Marc Guggenheim, the two issues "Paragon Rising" and "Infinite Luthors" tell multiple stories during the game-changing crossover featuring additional CW characters across the Multiverse.

Do the stories actually make sense and tie-in with what was seen on TV with the 5-hour event? Despite being said to be canon with the 5-part event, do the two issues fit in with what the characters went through on-screen? Find out why the hosts had mixed thoughts on the two stories and more on this week's The Flash Podcast - stay till the end, there is a post-credit scene!

"Crisis on Infinite Earths" leaps from The CW's "Arrowverse" to this new collection starring fan-favorite character Felicity Smoak in a brand-new, Multiverse-spanning epic as she tries to locate the keys to the Anti-Monitor's plan! Plus, Lex Luthor teams up with a council of Luthors, but can they all play nicely to save the Multiverse? Collects stories from Crisis on Infinite Earths Giant #1-2 and a Monitor's worth of behind-the-scenes extras!"

In this week's episode of The Flash Podcast, AndyTatianaBreeze, and Lacy got together to cover the world of The Flash, but this time on the big screen for the first time in a good while. The Flash film has been delayed multiple times, but things are beginning to (hopefully) move in the right direction in getting it into production. Michael Keaton's Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Batman from the Tim Burton films is set to join the upcoming DC picture (reportedly doing its own version of Flashpoint) as an older Caped Crusader when Barry creates a new reality after going back in time. But apparently, Keaton's version of the iconic DC hero might be sticking around as he is said to appear in multiple DCEU films!

What does this mean? Is this a good move for the film adaptation of the Barry Allen-centric movie? Will the DCEU begin utilizing the Multiverse concept now that the Arrowverse has solidified all of DC's past, present, and future live-action properties through Crisis On Infinite Earths? In addition to that, the gang discusses their hopes and thoughts on what the Arrowverse might do for the Home Con edition of San Diego Comic-Con, but particularly the DC FanDome event in August! That and more on this week's episode of The Flash Podcast!

With The Flash season 6 having come to an early end, given the Coronavirus pandemic, viewers will have to wait patiently for the fastest man alive as season 7 will be premiering on The CW in January 2021. Following the 19th episode, which served as the season finale, what’s next for Eva McCulloch? What happened to Iris West-Allen at the very end inside the Mirrorverse? How will Barry stop Eva from getting away with her lies with barely any speed left? Those are just a handful of questions that will be answered next year.

The Flash Podcast recently had the honor of chatting with the show’s new showrunner Eric Wallace in a post-mortem interview following the big finale this week. Throughout our chat with Wallace, the EP talks about how they’ll deal with the three unproduced episodes from this season when production eventually does resume this year. He also discusses what he hopes to do with the seventh season as season 6 got to experiment with new storytelling methods compared to past seasons.

In addition to that, Wallace offers some exciting teases for new DC characters in season 7, what’s going on with Godspeed and Reverse-Flash as well as how Iris and her marriage with Barry will grow and strengthen after her journey in the Mirrorverse. That and so much more – major thanks to Mr. Wallace and WBTV for the opportunity!
